Information Sheet

The Falcon Flying Club has operated successfully for a period of over 4 years. During that time it has provided its members with a convenient and economical means of private flying. It is a not-for-profit incorporated organization that functions under a set of by-laws and operational guidelines established by its members. Due to not-for profit tax laws, the corporation is limited to 40 Subscribing members.

Upon joining the flying club, each new member becomes a subscribing member in the corporation and its assets. The present fee for a loan unit is $500.00, which can be sold by the owner upon leaving the club. Each club member pays dues of $15.00 per month, if you are on flying status. Included in your dues are liability insurance fees.

The Falcon Flying Club presently owns an Aero Commander A100. The FFC strives to keep this aircraft in good flying condition. The Aero Commander is used primarily for student training and maintenance instruction. The present rates for aircraft use is $48 per hour. Flight Instructors charge $15.00 per hour. This promotes an exceptional affordability to join our club and learn how to fly.

Any person wishing to become a member of the club must first submit an application for membership. The application forms may be obtained by writing to the club address listed above or by contacting one of the officers at the numbers listed above. Upon receipt of an application, the corporation will consider it for approval at the next monthly meeting. The applicant is urged to attend this meeting. The applicant then begins a 30-day probation period: until the next monthly meeting. During this probation period the applicant is requested to help with the care and maintenance of our aircraft. After the 30-day probation the applicants membership will be finalized. If the application receives a vote of approval the full membership fee becomes due immediately. Upon payment the applicant becomes a Subscribing member and receives his/her certificate of membership.

In order to Vote, a member must have subscribed a minimum of two (2) loan units ($1000.00).  Voting Members who are not Directors shall not be entitled to vote on corporate matters, except as hereinafter provided in the FFC By-Laws.

Each new member is issued a by-laws Booklet and a operations manual. He/she is expected to study these laws and abide by them. These booklets, also contain the clubs operating rules, financial responsibility, and other obligations.
